Development of Hair Treatments Using Casein and Effect of Hair Damage Mitigation

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to be able to protect the hair from damage that occurs during a chemical hair treatments using antioxidants and protein-rich casein by adding casein to produce permanent wave reducing agent and treatments, and it was used in the experiment. The results showed that the highest efficiency when processing wave after casein treatment, the thickness of the hair shaft after casein treatment, the treated group showed the thickest. The hair cuticle height of casein pre treatment group was less the damage hair cuticle also show similar results with virgin hair cuticle measurement results was found. The casein preparation phase microstructure observation by atomic force microscopy topography image group showed a clean hair cuticle results, the 3D image analysis by electron microscopy shows that the low roughness of the cuticle of uniform height, and showed a somewhat different pattern. Casein pre-procedure group showed the greatest rate of amino acid composition, amino acid analysis, the results show that increasing the content of cystine than virgin hair, filled with amino acids that have been identified. The permanent wave procedure used during treatment of this very important role, results showed that the addition of casein treatments used to reduce damage to the hair more than the use of a general treatment. Suggest that casein and casein treatments, the future of skin stability test for clinical trials and treatment satisfaction using surveys and ongoing research to be done.
